Kalcy has spent 20+ years in the oilfield industry in varying roles. In a technical capacity, he has spent time as a production engineer, well servicing coordinator, and optimization technologist. He also has extensive experience in operations and has held management roles with various companies.

As a front line Well Site Supervisor, I have had the privilege of working with Kalcy Thomas for
over ten years. Having worked in Operations, Well Servicing, and Facilities/Construction
Engineering for the past forty years, it is a great pleasure to get to work with someone who
shows the dedication and commitment that Kalcy demonstrates on a daily basis.
I first met Kalcy while working on a plunger lift system before he was hired on with our company
as a Petroleum Technologist. During this time he has reviewed, optimized, and wrote
completion and workover programs for hundreds of wells including vertical, horizontal, sweet
and sour flowing, pumping and plunger lift wells, as well as flowing and artificial lift wells. By
staying up-to-date with technology and best practices, Kalcy has made significant increases in
the overall production of producing fields by reconfiguring downhole and surface equipment, re-
completions, acidizing, coiled tubing cleanouts, re-perforating, optimizing landed equipment
depths and horizontal completions. Kalcy has personally designed rod strings on the horizontal
pumping oil wells to reduce tubing wear and optimize pumping, as well as designed tubing
bottom hole assemblies to eliminate sand from entering the bottom hole pumps.
Kalcy also demonstrates strength as a team player in a collaborative setting. Kalcy and I worked
for several years to optimize each bottom hole pump as they were pulled which reduced pump
change frequency and rig costs. Kalcy and I have also worked collaboratively in writing
workover/completion/abandonment programs and completing high and low-pressure well
abandonments and workovers on water injection wells. Having experience as a front-line well-
servicing supervisor and Field Operator, Kalcy has excellent knowledge of field operations and,
therefore, conducts himself with a high degree of competence and professionalism.
